Betko Fresh Produce has launched its new website, marking the start of a process of rebranding the company. The website is the first communications entity of the company to display the new brand and the website has been designed to bring more interactivity and make it easy for readers to navigate through the site.
The new Betko brand will be introduced across the company over a period in time and the live site remains an important way for existing and new customers to view Betko’s products and to extend the reach in markets across the world.
The site aims to be more interactive and new additions such as the world map which charters the markets for Betko products – namely the United Kingdom and Western Europe, as well the new emerging markets of Africa, the Middle East, and East Asia – and shows the extensiveness of its international exports on the back of its well-received products.
Apart from the core fruit categories which include an extensive basket of different apples and pears, the website also brings information of Betko’s growing table grape category. This features the best of South Africa’s new age seedless table grape cultivars, but also includes some of the stalwart seeded grape varieties which fills important gaps in the market in countries where consumers still prefer pitted grapes.
The website gives an extensive overview of Betko’s packing and marketing infra-structure, which is located at Villiersdorp in South Africa’s Western Cape region.
It is a family business with the website highlighting the ethos and pioneering spirit of the company. Betko is owned by the Japie Groenewald Trust, the legacy of the fruit growing pioneer and founder Japie Groenewald.
The Japie Groenewald Trust directs all the family’s farming activities which is concentrated around three farms in the Riviersonderend Valley, namely Oubos, Soetmelksvlei and Sunnyside. These farms provide a large percentage of the fruit Betko packs and markets annually.
The Betko website’s news columns will not only provide news of Betko activities, but will also bring important snippets of local and international news about the world of fresh produces to those who regularly visit the site.
In short, the new Betko website embodies the ethos of the Japie Groenewald Trust and Betko Fresh Produce and is well worth of a weekly visit to stay abreast with developments.
