Pears

The new pear season kicks off early in January with William\'s Bon Chretien and includes brown, yellow, green and blushed pears. While Packham\'s Triumph represents the core of the mid-season pear business, increased volumes of varieties such as Abate Fetel and Forelle are also available. Other varieties include Rosemarie. The marketing season for pears normally concludes in September.

Grapes

Betko offers a wide range of South Africa's best table grape varieties, covering a spectrum of red, white and black, (seeded and seedless), grapes. The season starts with Prime and Flame Seedless, which is followed by the mid-season varieties, Regal Seedless, Red Globe, Crimson Seedless, La Rochelle, and Autumn Royal. The season is concluded with the late season varieties of Dauphine and Barlinka in April.

Apples

Betko's range of apples includes the most popular varieties South African can offer. The marketing season starts with Panorama Golden (an early Golden Delicious variety), which is followed by Royal Gala and the first Golden Delicious. Other varieties include Braeburn, Pink Lady/Cripp's Pink, Fuji, Granny Smith, Sundowner/Cripp's Red and Top Red. Picking season ends in May and the marketing season normally concludes in December.
