Located in the scenic Vyeboom Valley at Villiersdorp in the Western Cape, some 100km from Cape Town, Betko Fresh Produce CC has become one of the leading fruit packers and shippers from South Africa.

Building on the entrepreneurial spirit of Japie Groenewald, Betko now offers its customers around the world the finest apples, pears and grapes, grown in harmony with nature.

Packed, distributed, and marketed by a motivated team of people who understand the fresh produce industry. The sole member of Betko Fresh Produce CC is The Japie Groenewald Trust.

The trust owns three farms that provide Betko with a third of its total annual volume of fruit. In addition to the farming units of The Japie Groenewald Trust, Betko also packs and distributes apples and pears from 22 selected growers from the Western Cape`s best growing regions.

The Japie Groenewald Trust is the legacy of Japie Groenewald, founder of packer-exporter Betko Fresh Produce, who showed true entrepreneurial spirit in building what is today one of the leading grower-exporter organisations in South Africa.
